Why did it Time Out?

"I started playing a question, and it asked if I was ready. Well I wasn't! Suddenly it told me the question had TIMED OUT!"

Why did this happen and how to avoid?

When you tap on a Q that's waiting in your Timeline, it will begin playing and the Timer is ticking down. During the Clue, there's a button that you can tap "I'm Ready!" which will move you past the Clue timer into playing the Question right away.

Don't be misled! The "I'm Ready!" button doesn't wait around until you're ready. It's there so you can accelerate past the Clue if you ARE ready. But if you wait for the Clue timer to finish, you'll move right into the Question whether you're ready or not!

Part of the art and science of this App has to do with driving recall under a ticking clock. So be sure not to tap to play a Question until you're ready to play it.
